Michigan Crossroads Council Camping
Here in Michigan, we have four amazing Scouts BSA Resident Camps scattered across the state – each with it’s own unique opportunities. Scouts can earn merit badges along their advancement trail or experience our premier programs such as; horseback and ATV riding, pistol shooting and tubing – our camps have what you’re looking for!
Outdoor adventure is a promise made to boys and girls when they join Scouting. Today the amount of time kids spend outside is alarmingly low…only minutes per day! Through Scouting our goal is to get our Scouts outside where they have the opportunities to canoe, hike, shoot, swim and just be Scouts.
Why is this important? In the outdoors, boys and girls have opportunities to learn skills that they can’t get anywhere else. Here they find inspiration, learn teamwork, and become leaders. Learning by doing is a hallmark of outdoor education and Scouting wrote the book. This page highlights opportunities that are a available in the state of Michigan for our Scouts and the many others from out of state that choose our camping experiences. As always, thanks for investigating a MCC Scouts BSA camping opportunity and GO SCOUTING!

PROVISIONAL CAMP – SUMMER CAMP WITHOUT YOUR TROOP
What is Provisional Scouts BSA Camp? It is an opportunity for Scout to attend a week of summer camp without their Troop. It can be his/her first week of summer camp or perhaps a second week [a discounted rate for a 2nd week of camp!]. Outdoor Adventures and the Mishigami Lodge of the Order of the Arrow are pleased to announce provisional camping opportunities at our camps available for all Scouts.
OTHER SUMMER CAMPING EXPERIENCES
Want something more specialized? We offer many different camp experiences at our premier camps!
See below for our many options.
TRAIL TO EAGLE
The Trail to Eagle (TTE) program is a specifically designed program for the older Scout to give them the Trail to Eagle opportunity to work on the merit badges they need to finish the Eagle Scout rank requirements. It is a one-week, highly structured program held at D-bar-A Scout Ranch and Scouts must be at least 1st Class rank by Fall of 2024 and at least 13 years old or older.

Looking for a Scouting adventure you can’t get anywhere else? Come set sail aboard the newest Michigan Outdoor Adventure, the Retriever. This 52′ ketch will blow you away as you sail on an excursion in the northern Great Lakes. This experience is reserved for Sea Scouts, older Scouts BSA, or Venturers where they will learn the fundamentals of sailboating during their week-long summer cruise.
WILDERNESS EXPLORER PROGRAMS
HIGH ADVENTURE
High adventure opportunities are the chance to take your Scouting experience to the next level. A high-adventure experience includes several days of trekking by foot or water craft in wilderness and other rugged, remote locations. High adventure opportunities for Scouts BSA Troops, Venturing Crew, and Sea Scout Ships abound in the BSA, with some options close to home in the Michigan Crossroads Council. Take your pick: visit one of the four National High Adventure Bases operated by the Boy Scouts of America, one of the programs through our own Cole Canoe Base or Great Lakes Sailing Adventure, or one of the numerous local council high adventure bases that provide outdoor adventure opportunities for older Scouts, Venturers, and Sea Scouts.
