Doing a good turn and lending a helping hand is at the heart of Scouting. In fact, our ability to work together to support our communities during difficult times is what makes Scouts and Scouters extraordinary.
Here are a few ways you can make an immediate impact to support disaster relief efforts.
Donate to the BSA Emergency Assistance Fund
The Boy Scouts of America National Foundation has established the Emergency Assistance Fund  so you can help those left in the wake of this most recent storm.
Your gift will help rebuild Scouting in the Occoneechee, Tuscarora, East Carolina, Cape Fear and Pee Dee Area councils—some of the areas hardest hit by Hurricane Florence in North and South Carolina. GIVE NOWÂ
Help a neighborhood Scouting unit
Other councils/packs/troops looking to support Scouting units in need can purchase new items so that they can resume activities as soon as possible.
Contact information will be provided so you can reach out directly to the affected Scouting units and arrange for shipment/delivery of goods.
Other ways to help
To provide immediate support for general needs in the area, you can also donate directly to the American Red Cross and/or Salvation Army:
