Heather Gallegos is the Director of Communications and Community Affairs for North America North at Dow. In this role, she is accountable for strategic communications, media, employee engagement, philanthropic efforts and community relations in the Great Lakes Bay Region, U.S. Independent Sites and Canada.

In the Great Lakes Bay Region, home to Dow’s corporate headquarters, Heather is responsible for cultivating relationships with strategic stakeholders and leading outreach efforts that support the well-being of the community and strengthen Dow’s reputation.  This includes intentional counsel on regional boards, company philanthropic contributions, employee engagement efforts and leadership throughout the region to advance both community and company initiatives.

Gallegos began her career with Dow in 2001. She has held various roles with increasing responsibility throughout her tenure. She assumed her current role in August of 2019.

Gallegos serves on the Board of Directors for the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce, Delta College Foundation, Great Lakes Bay Regional Alliance, Saginaw Club, Saginaw County Chamber of Commerce, Saginaw Future, Inc., and Temple Arts. She is a Trustee for both McLaren Bay Region and the Russell H. and Maxine E. Smith Charitable Foundation. Gallegos is a recipient of the 2018 Junior Achievement Rising Star award.

Gallegos holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in Behavioral Sciences from Saginaw Valley State University. She lives in Essexville, Michigan, with her husband Lonnie and their children.
